Madam Glam Haul & Review

Monday, February 20, 2017

Hi guys!

I'm back with another haul but this time is....... NAIL POLISH HAUL! Oh wait, or should I say gel polish haul? I'm sure all the nail lovers out there have heard of MADAM GLAM and I'm one of them but have not tried it out yet! I'm super excited when I got these polishes on hand!

Items are bought with my own money and my honest opinions.

Warning: This post is full of pictures 😅

These are what I bought! I bought 8 polishes in total and 3 of it are One Step Gel.

All the swatches in 1 picture.

THIS IS MY FAVORITE OF ALL. I just feel that, there are a lot of normal glitter/gold glitter/silver glitter polish out there in the market. But only a few brand produce colored glitter and this is one of my favorite. I just love how the blue glitter looks, the different size of glitter 😍

I used this in my recent video and it's absolutely gorgeous. I definitely recommend this if you're in love with gold glitter.

To be honest, I have a few gel polish that has the similar color to this. But I must say that this gel polish is pretty decent on its first coat. On the second coat, it's already fully opaque. Lovely color between cherry and berry tone.

I love how this reflects at different angle of lights. It's not TOO shimmery and glittery. The amount is just nice, perfect. The glitter is very fine that it's almost like dots. Perfect for summer and perfect for berry lovers.

This is the up close shot. Super pretty glittery specks.

I don't know what to say about this..... The color is so hard to explain! I mean, if you love taupe or brown color, THIS IS THE PERFECT SHADE. I highly recommend this shade. It's like a mixture of taupe, brown, gray and it turn out to be the perfect shade.

Okay so, a little explanation on why I got these One Step Gel. I debate for quite awhile because this is a gel polish that is ALL IN ONE. Meaning that base coat, color and top coat are all in one. I'm not sure if it's good for my nails because I felt like there was no "physical" base coat on to protect my natural nails. But whatever, I decided to get it and try it out. Since it's so easy, you just put 2 coats of polish and done. Instead of the whole usual steps to do. You know, somedays you just feel like you wanna relax and get your nails done quickly.

Oh by the way, the finish look and the shine these One Step Gel polish gives, just blow my mind. I didn't expect it to be high shine and glossy looking. It's literally a glossy top coat you put on.

All I have to say is, this is a super BEAUTIFUL nude shade. And it's so simple since it's a one step gel! On days when I don't feel like having crazy colors or bright colors, I just put 2 coats of this and I'm done with my nails! It's pretty sheer at the first coat but after the second coat, it's opaque enough.

FOR ALL MY GRAY TONE LOVERS OUT THERE, THIS IS FOR YOU. PERFECT SHADE OF GRAY. I have a few gray polishes and it's quite muddy looking. I don't know how to explain it but some gray polishes are dirty/muddy looking and it just look like cement. But this, OH-MY-GOD. True gray and it doesn't look dirty/muddy.

I had tried this on my nails, natural nails fyi. Honestly, I have a love-hate relationship with this polish. I love the way it looks, how it reflects at different angle of lights and how fine the glitter is. I used 3 coats on my nails because it wasn't opaque enough. What I hate is that, when I remove it, it STAINS my nails. My nails were slightly black and it wasn't pleasant looking. So..... I don't know. I'll probably put a very thin layer of base coat on before applying this and see how it works.
