Gelish Manicure (How To, 3 Ways To Remove) | Part 2
Monday, June 20, 2016
Hi guys,
This is part 2 of my gelish manicure and if you have not seen part 1, you can click here.
I had my gelish manicure for about 3 weeks because I was just so lazy to remove it. So finally, I had the time and not feeling lazy to remove and film a video. It's actually REALLY EASY to remove because all you have to do is just wait. I'll be showing you 3 ways to remove gelish! Let's get into it!
My nails after 3 weeks and look how much it grow!
Items are bought with my own money.
Tools that I used :
Sand Block :
After removing your gelish, your nail will have a rough surface. So I like using a sand block to buff away the roughness and make it smooth.
Nail Buffer (180/240 Grit) :
This is just a really old nail buffer I had. I always use this to buff my gelish so this is what I'm using. Use what you have :)
Cuticle Pusher :
This is used to remove the gelish. Alternatively, you can use an orange stick as well.
Kabuki Brush (Optional) :
I just used an old brush for this. Just to wipe off the dust on my nails after buffing. You can also just wash your hands or wipe off with remover or something.
1st way | This is super easy to use. All you have to do is just tear open and wrap your finger. This is my favorite way because it's less time consuming and less hassle.
2nd way | Soak the cotton pad WELL and WET. Traditionally, you use an aluminum foil to wrap your nails. But that's not environmental free and it's such a waste to keep throwing away the aluminum foil. So I got these reusable clips that you can keep using and it's environmental free!
3rd way | The traditional way. Using the aluminum foil.
Of course, you'll also need cotton pad and remover for the 2nd and 3rd way.
Once I'm done removing, I like to put OPI Nail Envy to protect and strengthen my nails. I find it very important to put nail oil once you're done. Acetone really dries out your skin and my cuticle is slightly dry whenever I remove my gelish. Nail oil just helps to nourish your cuticle.
And I'm done! I didn't cut my nails because yes, I was lazy and I like having long nails HAHA

That's all for my post,
