Review: '100% Pure' Fruit Pigmented Healthy Foundation

Sunday, May 15, 2016

Hi guys,

In my previous post on '100% Pure Cosmetics Mini Haul', I stated that I'll review the healthy foundation. So here it is for you guys! If some of you didn't read the previous post (click here), I bought the '100% Pure Fruit Pigmented Healthy Foundation' for $71.50SGD ($45USD). I personally feel that a good base leads to a good makeup. Putting foundation/bb cream/cc cream, any base that is directly on your skin must be a product that has great ingredients because some ingredients may not work on some people. Different people, different skin types, different opinions. The brand named '100% Pure' says it, their products are ALL natural, organic and the ingredients are mostly fruits. There's definitely no harsh chemicals used to make the product.

These are the Key Benefits that is listed on their website :
- 100% natural, 100% vegan, gluten free.
- Colored with fruit and vegetable pigments instead of minerals or synthetic dyes.
- Full coverage creme to matte finish conceals all imperfections.
- Nourishes skin with antioxidants.

This is the description :
Rich and creamy, full coverage makeup that conceals all imperfections so you look like you have perfect skin without looking or feeling heavy. Creme to matted powder finish makes your skin velvet soft. Formula is enriched with antioxidant packed super fruits, vitamins and other skin nourishing nutrients. SPF 20 protects your skin from sun's UVA and UVB rays. Colored from the pigments of fruits and vegetables rather than being colored from minerals or synthetic dyes.

On the website, it says full coverage but in my opinion, I find that it is only light to medium coverage. It sets quite quickly so you have to blend it fast. But I'm using a beauty blender so it's fine to me. Since this foundation is organic and 100% natural so it's not suppose to have any breakout, right? Breakout if only I didn't cleanse my face well enough.

Items are bought with my own money and my honest opinions.

Let's get into the review. Just letting you guys know, my skin type is oily.

Here's the ingredients analysis :

The content on the packaging and the foundation has a pump YAY :

First applied at 12pm :

2pm (Total of 2 hours) : Still looks good, don't feel oily at all. Looks the same as what I first applied.

5pm (Total of 5 hours) : Nose is slightly oily. The rest of my skin isn't oily, only my nose. Which is still acceptable.

8.30pm (Total of 8 hours 30 minutes) : Nose is SUPER oily.

It does transfer a little bit on tissue :

After touch up :

After touching up, it's not very cakey. I mean, it still looks good from far. But when I see it up close, it's just a little bit cakey.

Pros :
- My skin doesn't break out.
- People who likes light coverage, this is for you.

Cons :
- Since I set it with powder lightly, it does get slightly oily. Unless you powder your face well.
- Not much coverage. It's somehow like, your skin but better.

My thoughts :
As you can tell from the photos, the coverage is very light. I have to put on 2 layers because in the 1st layer, I can still see my scars. In the 2nd layer, it's still acceptable. I'm okay with this foundation since it gives a very natural coverage.

Whether or not to get this foundation for yourself, you can decide on your own! :) I hope this post helps you.

That's all for my post,
Stay Tune!
